Mirror, mirror on the wall … The wonderful thing about mirrors is that not only are they used for practical reasons; such as presentation and ensuring that your lip gloss is perfectly applied, but they also have a variety of uses to enhance a space and make it aesthetically pleasing.
Often you will find that with small rooms, for example a narrow entrance hall, can be made to feel larger by placing a mirror on one of the walls.The reflection of the light produced by the mirror helps the space to feel bigger than it actually is.
The above example from City Connect shows how using a series of mirrors can provide one with the desired effect. Sometimes it just isn’t practical to use a mirror for the entire wall – this can also be expensive.
Mirrors are also a great way to create moods. Used in conjunction with the correct type of lighting one can achieve not only a decorative but also a romantic effect.
